Hello,

I am interested in starting a men's ministry at my church. I am younger than the men at the church but feel the thought of revitalizing it pressing on my heart and mind. Any suggestions on how to start one? Thanks

We have a mens breakfast once a month at a golf club, excellent food and a guest speaker comes along to speak about God in their daily lives.

Last month we invited a Christian police inspector who gave a great talk on how God uses him in his work.

Some of the men are starting to come to our church on a sunday morning!

Follow your heart man, that's how the Holy Spirit leads.

I did a Men's ministry for years, years ago. That I was younger than most of the men then was of no account. I got three other guys to join me as a leadership team. We used the Promise Keepers "Funnel" model. Maybe they have some info about that on their web site. It took a while to get going but was strong and steady. We frequently did area-wide events to quaint our guys with guys in other churches. This was great to then see these guys during our normal work days and know we were not alone on our job sites.

Get your church's Elders involved in teaching weekly Bible studies. Plan activities together: go camping; shoot guns; play golf; build a youth garage; go to breakfast. Build relationships and talk about your faith. It'll be fun.
