Hi

Tomorrow my women's ministry team is meeting to plan and brainstorm, and I just found out about Girlfriends Unlimited. Does anyone have an opinion about it? I do consider myself creative and a great organizer and starter. Now that there are all these girl's  night out kits available I am wondering if Girlfriends Unlimited is really worth the money. I have to say I really find their name and use of their log really appealing. I think that in itself would bring women out of the woodwork.

What is it?  Is it a Group program/product?

It is a women's ministry membership that churches can join. It gives ideas and tools and it seems like just about everything you need to create or revamp a fun friendly women's ministry program. They do sell it here at group. You can google it or check out their website. If you google you can also see some of the churches that have memberships and check out their programs. They are really impressive.

Hi, Natalie!  I am a Group Ambassador who works specifically with Women's Ministry...AND I'm currently in Loveland (home of Group) at a Girlfriends Unlimited Training Summit!  The short answer is...YES!  Girlfirends is most definitely worth your money!  In fact, it is a bargain for all you will get.  In a nutshell, it will equip you to build a team or equip your exisitng team to build relationships with women within AND OUTSIDE your church!  You will have fun...with a purpose...AND change lives...one girlfriend at a time!  All of Group's women's ministry resources can be used right alongside Girlfriends.  That's one of the reasons Girlfriends has decided to become part of Group's Women's Ministry resources!

I would love to answer any specific questions you have!  Feel free to email me at slawrence@groupsadvisors.com anytime.  I do not have much time in the next couple days due to the training, but I will do my best to get back with you asap!  Of course, we can also simply continue to dialogue on this forum to share Girlfriends with anyone.  Anyone else out there have questions???

One of the things that we found with Dakota Girlfriends Unlimited is to totally rethink your Women's Ministry by calling women "Girlfriends" instead of "Ladies".  There is something so powerful in opening your comments/letters/emails to her with "Hey Girlfriend" and closing with " I love ya Girlfriend".  Women will respond almost immediately to that!!  Say it like you mean it and then mean what you say!

Our group on GAB are as diverse as you can get but we have a couple of things in common ... we love the Lord and we love being someone's Girlfriend!

Starting a prayer cover group (IS A MUST!) and changing the mentality of how you perceive other women will make a huge difference.

Do not attempt this alone... You need partners!!  You need them for planning, to bounce ideas off of, to get insight, to tell you  "wait a minute", to pray with you, to pray for you and to support you so you aren't out there all by yourself ... hence "burn-out" syndrome.

Doing "Girlfriends Unlimited" isn't easy ... but it is rewarding!

Our men are even excited about this and they can't come! We have all of their support and last sunday when we were selling tickets to our big event on May 4th, men were coming and buying tickets to give to their wives, family members, co-workers, etc.  How exciting is that?!!!

Hope this was helpful!

We have been an outlet for one year with Girlfriends Unlimited and really love it! I think the bang for your buck lies in the powerful prayer support, the tried and true methods, timelines, guildelines and general information given in the manual, provided by posts on the web and with interaction among other outlets. There is something powerful about this group of women gathering prayerfully and sharing ideas, successes and failures together. The graphics, hot pink and lime green accents are just a bonus!!At the last GUTS I got the chance to see first hand the heart of the founders, the dedication of those who support them in their efforts and the tremendous opportunities available through Group Publishing. I would highly reccomend joining this dynamic group of gals!!
