I already asked this on the oold board but thought I would post it here just in case we have any newbies who may have joined us.  I may be moving to the McKinney, TX area by the time summer rolls around and will be looking for a Catholic church that uses Groups or Harcourts VBS programs.  Is there anyone out there to help me out?  Elise already responded about meeting up with me when I get there to catch up on Louisiana time but I would love to connect with anyone else!  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

St. Gabriel in McKinney is doing Avalanche Ranch. We've done Group for several years now and I think St. Michaels does it after us. Not sure if they are going to be able to do this year or not cause they are building a new building.

We've begun meeting with our volunteers and the decorating committee has begun putting some things together.

We would love to have you come play with us. I'm the Open/Close Coordinator. We do a morning and evening program so we have group leaders for all the stations including the opening and closing ceremonies.

Drop me a line anytime. I can hook you up with the director if you want or any of the leaders.

OOps, guess I should give you my name Kelly Scott

Kelly, thanks for the quick response.  I tried to email you but I guess they still haven't worked out those bugs.  We are still awaiting final word on whether my hubby has officially gotten the job or not but I will definitly keep you guys in mind.  I am director of my church's VBS program of over 200 kids and 100 volunteers so if I have to move before I get to do my VBS, I will loose my mind.  My greatest concern is finding a church where my family and I fit in.  It took me three years to find the church that we are at now when we moved to this area.  I just figured I would get a head start since it looks really good that we will be moving there.  Is there a website that I can visit to get more info on your church?  Thanks once again for answering my post!  Hopefully we will me soon!

We're about an hour and half south of the Dallas area.. not a catholic church.

The Seventh-Day Adventist church in Grandview Texas is doing AR this year!  I think the Keene Seventh Day Adventist church will also be doing Avalanche Ranch.

Stonebridge United Methodist in McKinney is also doing AR June 11-15.  We usually have 300 elementary, 160 preschool, and the volunteers' nursery plus a waiting list.

Try me now. I think I had to update my information. If you still can't we can try to arrange something else. Our directorship is in flux right now. We would be soooo happy to get someone who has your experience. Even if you only get to play with us that week; you are welcome.

Oh bad news Kelly...we found out last night that we will not be heading your way any time soon.')" href="http://forums.group.com/Skins/Blue/Dialogs/InsertEmotIcon.aspx?ControlID=txtPost#">  He is in the oilfield and is currently assigned to a job out of Norway so his boss won't release him to take the job offer in Carrollton.  They did say, though, that we could possibly be there by the end of the summer.  At any rate, thank you for all of the info that you have offered me.  I do know that when we finally do make it to McKinney, I will already have a church home.  Thanks so much!

No worries Kate. The good side is that you can do VBS with your current church.

Sorry I haven't replied in a while. I've been a little busy planning my wedding and going to Grad school. I've had to VBS on the back burner until after May.

Keep us in mind if you end up this way. We love making new friends.
