However, I don't see anywhere where we make the connection for the kids of how the weekly point displays one of the beatitudes. Helping them learn how one part of the Bible supports another part. Although is it is the module focus, I don't see it referenced.

Also, week 1 is "We go to Jesus in hard times". I am not seeing the correlation - which Beatitude is this?

Week 2 appears to be Blessed are the meek

Week 3 - Blessed are those who hunger & thirst for righteousness?

Week 4 - Blessed are the peacemakers

Week 5 - Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness

For the Storm Chasers lessons, we intentionally chose to use Bible stories to get across the beatitudes rather than using the specific scriptures. (We used the beatitudes more as a focus for the lessons we felt were important to teach children.) For this age level, we felt like the God at Work points were a more  age-appropriate way to approach these concepts. However, if you feel like the kids in your church are mature enough to understand and grasp these scriptures, reading through them with the kids would be a great way to supplement these lessons. I would also recommend using the beatitudes for  your own personal Bible Study as you pray about what God wants you to teach the kids through this module.

The first lesson focuses on “blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
