| Anyway, even though we have not started setting up our VBS decorations yet, I just thought that I would post my pictures since everyone else was showing off their pictures. Now, I would just like to say a couple of things. First, I am not the greatest photographer in the world, so the pictures are not great. Second, I am not the best artist stenciling the bible points in block letters onto pieces of OSB sheeting.
The buddies shown in the album still need to be painted. So, anyway, enjoy the pictures, and once I have the other projects finished, I will upload pictures.

| | Paul, It is so wonderful to see teenagers getting so involved in helping with VBS. You are a blessing to your church and all the kids. Look forward to meeting you on Thursday when you pick up the barrels and hay. A tip I can pass on about lettering since I have found that I am not too hot at hand lettering myself. In making my church banners I make my own stencils on the computer. I find a font and size that works well, type the word out (only 1 of each letter needed) then either change it to outline form or print in light grey (conserves ink) on card stock and cut them out. I find it easier to trace the outside of the cut out letters rather than the inside of what is left of the card stock.

| Thanks for the tips Kathy. What I actually did was use a level and just did the lettering by using that. I had purchased 4" stencils at WalMart, and used them to create the AR brand and some other stuff my director wanted me to do for her, but they just wouldn't work for the buddies.
On the bright side, I picked up the lumber for our backdrop. We had a church donate their backdrop of a fiesta town last year, and I am repainting it for mountains. What I am so excited about is that it is 8' high and 16' long, so I have some work to do. Good thing our VBS is not until the 2nd week of August.
Thanks Again!
