| | Thanks to everyone for all of the ideas and tips that have been and are continuing to be a big help. We start tonight, our first time having evening VBS in 35 years. The change has helped in getting volunteers. We are having seasoned veterans who haven't done VBS since it was done the "old fashioned way," newbies to working with kids (not just new to VBS), and everyone in between. We have no idea how many kids there will be due to the time change. We have planned for 100. We usually have about 80 in the daytime. Please thank God along with me for the willingness of those who have volunteered, and for the mix of new and old. We have two grandmoms as crew leaders! And please ask God's blessing on what may be new challenges, and that we all stay focused on the real reason we all do this - to introduce these kids to Jesus. Pray that many will come to know Him as their "forever friend" this week. Many thanks and Blessings, Debby |
