| | Here are some ideas others have shared to get you started: I plan on getting out a Christmas tree, and putting down a brown paper "trail" on the floor, right down the middle. I have a "mountain" bulletin board display with a moose, racoons, squirrels, birds, etc. I'm thinking of making posters of the Bible verses that the songs were inspired by - Luke 6:31, Ephesians 2:10, and of course I Peter 2:17. Camping gear would be great if you have the room.

| | Our church is trying LIO this Fall. I will have a small group classroom. I was wondering if anyone will be decorating their classrooms to fit in with the themes? I'd appreciate anything you can share on what you have done or seen for the small group time.

| | Besides checking here, check out the decorating ideas on the Living Inside Out site (http://www.groupslivinginsideout.com/decorating.asp). I'm the Large Group Leader for Heroes starting in a couple of weeks. We're using the Living Inside Out logo down our hall, as well as the logos for each of the themes we'll be doing this year, in the entry area to our classroom/fellowship wing. We've talked about some themed decoration in our large-group area, but more the poster/logo and Bible verse in our small-group spaces (which happen to be classrooms for us). Hope this sparks more ideas for you. God bless you and your ministry!

| | Thanks for replying. I'm thinking of covering one wall with the open range scenes we used for VBS. Maybe a tree and some plants and vines. I'm thinking of hanging neon colored stars with the kids' names on them. And decorating with the Bible verses. I know they aren't in the small group settings for very long, but our Sunday school area is so old and drab looking.

| | Sounds great! Definitely a way to use some of your Avalance Ranch VBS decorations. And make sure you invite all those VBS kids back -- letting them know that you want to invite them back to Wilderness Trail starting (insert you time, date, and place)! God bless!
