| | Yikes! I used new glue, so we knew it contained the number of ounces as listed, and could just dump it all into the bowl with out further measuring. I found one alternative to the Upper Elementary lesson issue on the Children's Ministry website using soda water and white grape juice by searching for "born again." I think I will substitute that for the boys. |

| Yep...maybe that was what it was. I have no idea how old the glue was, it has just been in our craft area forever. When I saw the activity...I thought "great, a way to get rid of this stuff!".

| | I'm sorry I didn't make a comment on this earlier, but I had a negative experience with the Bible Memory Maker for Rescue 911. Upon opening each one, I found that they smelled really strong, with a chemical type of odor. But what was worse was that each one was visibly wet with an oily substance with the same odor. I had to wipe each one down with a paper towel before I could give them to the children. The substance was clear, but the paper towel had a greasy appearence after wiping them. After they were opened, and stored week to week loose in a cardboard box, the residue did not return. I have not tested to see what would happen if they were stored, say, in a plastic bag. I think I will do that with one of the left over ones. Anyway, the kids have them now, as I start Balloon Fest this Sunday. I hope it was the right thing to do. Also, we tied the stylus to the boards with yellow yarn before we gave them to the kids to take home - through the hole in the top of the stylus, and then through the hole in the top holder "arm". That way the stylus would not be lost, as they don't really stay in the holder very well even if it "clicks." As far as the object itself goes, my teachers didn't think they were very useful as a teaching aid, except for lesson 4 for the Upper Elementary. Some activities worked better simply drawing on paper. |

| Glue/starch mixture - I couldn't get it to work! I used new glue and starch. I made 4 batches and none of them worked. I mixed slowly and still it was too runny. I'm not going to get to use this Sunday.
This is the first OL that I haven't gotten to work with LIO.
