If you are in the south you are familiar with the Rick and Bubba show.  They are based here out of Birmingham but are sindicated in a lot of other areas, including up north.

Rick and his wife Sherri's 2 1/2 year old son fell into their pool and drowned Saturday evening.  Rick was speaking at a youth retreat in Gatlinburg when this happened.  Please keep this family in your prayers at this time.  Rick has proven over the years on their radio program that he is a strong believer and is an encouragment to many people.  This tragedy is obviously not outside the realm of God's sovereignty and His hand will no doubt comfort this family during this time.  I truly believe also that times of sorrow, trial, and tragedy are a blessing to us as believers as it gives us the oppurtunity to go to the Lord in prayer and allow His glory to be shown in any situation.

This is the link to their website with info and a picture of this sweet little boy.  They also have 2 teenagers and 2 elementary age children.

God is being glorified in this babies death.  If you have 30 minutes and you need something really inspiring from God's word to cling too, I encourage you to click on the sight I linked above and listen to Rick speaking at his sons memorial service.  It was amazing!

I am reminded and encouraged that these Kids He has given me to raise are not my own!

What a beautiful boy. I can't imagine the pain. I have an uncle who is only a couple of years older than I am and he had a son drown in a pool. Changed his life forever.

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

Proverbs 28:19
