| | I have two groups of children: one...10kds,4-6yrs. the other...5kds,1-2grd The older kids are EXCITED about sharing the gospel, but need organization. Any ideas? The younger kids...I am having difficulty explaining the who, what where, when, and especially WHY... They dont care, but have more opportunities than my older group.Any ideas on how to excite them? I think part of it is that they do not know anyone who they know to be unsaved... Plus they are not in school yet. Any ideas? Unfortunately, the groups are at seperate places...older group is at awana, younger at church. They are not "uniteable"... Blessings!

| | I always appreciate it when the teachers of the younger kids send me kids who have memorized lots of Bible verses. This gives me a solid base to work from in Middle and High School. I suggest having the kids prepare as a group to present the gospel to your church family. Have them memorize a skit (like the Christmas play). Hold up cue cards for them to read and guide them thru their part. They'll get tons of positive feedback from their parents and the event will firmly implant the message in their memory. It will come out later, naturally. Kevin www.coconutmtn.com

| | Kevin is correct, "It will come out naturally later" once it is part of their lives. The littlest children are so innocent - they don't understand the necessity of sharing what is so right. You don't see many share that green means go and red means stop - it is just a given in life. It is not that they don't care, it is more like they don't see why they should share something they believe is so common knowledge. When my son was 5 yrs old and recovering from minor surgery, I asked him if he had prayed to feel better. His reply, "Jesus lives in my heart!" was his way of saying, "Jesus already knows what I need, I don't need to ask Him." So for now, concentrate on their learning more and more about God's Love for them and they will share that Love in ways they won't even know. If you would like to start leading them in finding specific ways of sharing God's Love, how about having "Friends Nights" where the kids plan the night (including the Bible Story, Games, Decoraions, ect.) and send written invites to friends to come? Anytime they perform for the church family will be a big plus. They may even have non-believing family members who will come to that performance. You could also plan a "Family Night" where they plan a night to present to their family (immediate and extended). For a suggestion for the older kids: How about adopting a nursing home, veterans home, homeless shelter, military troop, etc. and sending holiday greetings throughout the year? The kids will learn that God's Word can be shared any time throughout the year. They would also enjoy planning "Friends or Family Nights" as stated above.
