I've read that some of you have created your own student handbooks in previous years to help cut down on the cost of VBS.  In doing this, do you create your own Daily Challenge sheets as well, or do you go ahead and buy them?  Or maybe you don't use them at all?  I'd be curious to know what you've done in the past or what you plan to do this year.  Also - if anyone has one created for this year and would be willing to share it, I'd love to get some ideas on how to create my own.

Thanks!!

i do buy the daily challenge strips, i think the Daily challenge strips would be hard to duplicate, they are definately worth getting.

I do not get the books.  i usually come up with my own. for preschool there are usually coloring pages for each day, i think there may be some on  the website, or maybe that was somewhere else??:blink

Because of being careful not to "copy" Group, I made up my own daily challenges, but they were usually very similar to Groups.   The trading cards they took home everyday had the daily challenges on the back, so we didn't need the strips...it worked out fine.

What did you do for the trading cards?  Is there a template somewhere or did you make your own?
