| We have always had parents sign the following waiver at the bottom of the registration form. It would be good to have the ability to add a waiver to the on-line registration form, that they could tick Yes or No to.Authorization and PrivacyAll information collected by (Church) will be used for the purposes of Day Camp. We never sell, rent, lease or exchange your personal information with other organizations. Contact information will be added to (Church’s) mailing lists to inform you of future programs within (Church), unless you notify us in writing. Individual and group photos will be taken of your child(ren) during Day Camp for distribution to the campers and for use at (Church) unless you inform us in writing otherwise. I, the parent or legal guardian of the above named camper(s), allow him/her/them to attend Power Lab Camp at (Church). I recognize the risk involved in activities and will not hold (Church), its staff or volunteers responsible for any personal injury that might occur to my child(ren) while participating in this program. I authorize a (Church) staff member or volunteer to seek and obtain such emergency or medical services for my child(ren) as deemed necessary at the time. | My personal thinking on that, while even though technically is a good idea, is that in practice it probablly wouldn't be a good idea. Really, any parent could come back (after a child has been hurt and injured) and say "well I didn't check that box, I don't know who did". I think then you could find your self is some legal messes. Unfortunate but true. When it comes to permissions for children I think it is best to have a cold hard parental signature.

| I agree Missy. Even when I wasofferingfree VBS advertising and registration on my website, I believe JoshMullins was too, I includedan online waiver which parentschecked off, but I still required them to come in personally and sign it. Nothing like the power of the pen! Come to think of it, I guess the WTB is yetanotheroffspring of our creative ideas.

| | I have just started looking (in detail) at how to use the web toy box for registration. I am considering emailing a form to them after they register online that contains the waiver. Then they can print it, sign it, and turn it in. (We have a suggested donation to attend VBS, so the have the additional step of paying or sending in money anyway.) Janet |
