What does your church do to protect the children in the nursery, cl, etc.  I am curious as far a check in and check out goes.  We are looking at a couple of automated systems, what is your church doing?

I am also interested in a pager system for the nursery, do you have any reccomendations?

Thanks!

I am a mom to 4 kids, a 6 year old girl, and 4, 2, and 6 month old boys.
I am the Children's Director at my church.

For our check-in/attendance, we use a system called Flockhound by Kingdomhound.  It is wonderful.  It is so easy to use and has saved me so much time and energy.  It is great.  You can even download a 30-day preview copy from their website for free.  Their customer support is awesome too!  Check them out.

As for as pagers, we use JTech pagers.  They are great too.

We use an identical tagging system.  One tag goes on the child, the parent takes the other tag with them and must present their tag when picking up their child.  We also use a written check in/check out system. Parent sign the child in and out indicating where they will be AND we also record their pager number.

We also installed baby gates to discourage the parents from coming into the room. The parents pass their child over the gate to our Nursery workers.  We find that it creates less confusion and disruption for the children.

Also interested to know if anyone uses or has ever used pagers by LRS (www.pager.net). If so, I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
