Definately clear packing tape (look in the packaging and labeling section of Walmart with the office supplies).  It holds things together like super glue and is barely noticable due to it being clear.....I buy several roles for VBS!!!

Walkie Talkies!!!!  WE have a large church - lots of rooms and ground to cover!  I keep one on my belt as well as our preschool director, photographer, and a few assistants and our receptionist in the office!  It saves A LOT of time walking around trying to track down people.

Hi, I'm not new to Group's vbs, but I am new to the forum- I would have to say that next to the duct tape, my secret weapon is black plastic sheeting (from Home depot).. it's great for everything- from tunnels to small spaces to caves etc.

#1: The Group Forum!  The ideas I have gotten off of here are amazing, plus there's a lot of support and friendships made between fellow VBS directors.  This is also a great place to network!

#2: WAL-MART! - Wal-mart has so many great things for decorations!  It's amazing!

God Bless,

Matt

This thread made me smile. I've often said VBS runs on clear packing tape and masking tape. And a little duct tape.

I have to agree this forum (along with the web toy box) are my secret weapons.  I am new to group and VBS.  I don't know how I could do it without these tools.  My mom is old school VBS director and had to hand write all of the information.  WOW!  I love the forum.

We'll see if my answer changes after the actual event (early August).

Thanks to all your input.  It is SO HELPFUL!

Most certainly my Husbands patience, talents and ingenuity!!  I would echo the above though regarding clear packing tape and bed sheets and I would add a staple gun and cardboard!
