| | This is my first year as the VBS director and our church's first year using Group's VBS material. So far, everything we've seen, we love! The only thing is our core team members are a little apprehensive about dividing the groups into smaller groups of various ages. We've gotten input as far as that the older kids will not have fun, they won't want to help out with the little kids... and so on. I think this is great; I homeschool my 3 kids (ages 5-10) and when I'm working with my middle child, the older one helps with my 5 yr old. But that's with my kids. I'd love your input from your experience as to how this worked, any problems your ran into and any questions you had from your staff. I have a couple core team members who are putting up a bit of a struggle. Their thing is, "why change something that works?" And what do you do if someone brings their relatives (several of them) for a couple of nights? Do you form new crews? Thanks! |

| Check out this link to another post about this topic. You might find it helpful! My personal opinion is you are the director...if you lead they will follow. I'm a homeschooling Momma too and finding it difficult this time of the year when I want to be thinking VBS!

| I am unsure how we are going to group our kids. Ours are used to being in a classroom setting w/ their own age groups. This is our first time in using a stations format so that is going to be a big change itself.
