Not sure where to post this, so we'll start here.  I've started Wednesday after school activities for our younger youth (age 4 thru 5th grade).  The plan is for structured games and/or crafts, a Bible lesson activity, dinner, and music.  This week our Bible activity was the Peter on the Sea of Galilee adventure from Treasure Hunt VBS, which was a VBS we had not done.  I think things went amazingly well and we had a great turnout (for us anyway) ... thanks, God!

I had already purchased several of Group's past VBS programs, but with using one adventure a week and taking out those that I can't do on my own, I'll be needing more.  Is there a source for the type of Bible lessons like what Group includes as the Bible Adventure station in VBS?  I'm looking for something where the kids can "experience" the story, preferably some discussion questions, relatively easy and inexpensive props, and something that I can present myself.  Hopefully this would be something that would last 20-25 minutes.

So ... does Group offer something?  Or for those of you with experience with other publishers ... are some of them changing their VBS formats to be more "experiencing" the story where I could pick up the manual for just that station?  (You'll probably want to e-mail me privately if so).  I appreciate any input that you might be able to offer.  We really need these after school gatherings to be successful.

Thank you.  Rene

Hi Rene,

I have found a couple of good programs to use. I will email you the names. I found them at the local Christian Bookstore. Ask where they have the instant bible lessons for kids books. They include games, bible story, snack ideas and craft.
