Part Time – Intern Staff Position
Overview
Rocky Knoll Baptist Church is seeking a strong young adult to work part time in support of our growing Student Ministries program. This candidate should be a Christian that is an active participant in weekly worship, and be comfortable teaching and supporting the spiritual development of young people in a Southern Baptist environment. Experiences such as Camp Staffer, D-Now small group leader, small group Bible study leader, student worship leader etc…. will be viewed as strong foundations for this position. The ideal candidate should be a good communicator, and have the confidence and ability to organize and lead adult volunteers in the execution of programs and activities.
Location – Walhalla, South Carolina
Hours – Part Time
•10-15 hours / week during school year
•30-40 hours / week during summer
Pay Rate - $10.00 - $12.50 per hour based on experience
Timeline – April 1, 2008 through December 31st, 2008
Responsibility / Focus
School Year (Friday through Sunday concentration)
•Young adult, Christian role model for Middle & High School students
•Relationship building with students
•Support of existing spiritual development programs at RKBC
•Music support if applicable
•Bi-weekly small group event (age, gender specific)
•New program and activity planning
•Major event support (Winter Retreat, D-Now etc…)
Summer (full time)
•Same as school year for normal activities for youth
•Leadership role in planning and execution of Children’s Camp at RKBC
•Mission trip planning and support for high school age group
•Evaluate potential to create additional summer activities for children’s age group
