| | We need to raise some large amounts of money for our kids church. I need ideas that will raise lots of money without being too time consuming. I would like to have several and be able to raise $500 + per fundraiser. Help! |

| | My preteen club is just finishing up a fundraiser with Dutch Mills Bulbs. They have been selling beautiful flower bulbs and plants that are guaranteed to grow and bloom! They have had quite a response. The profit is 50%. I'd say we will do this fundraiser again, probably in the fall. Blessings!

| Amanda, we just did our first VBS Luncheon fundraiser. We asked for a donation of $10 per plate for adult and $5 for children 6-12. We did have a few families absent, but managed to raise $550.00! We served pasta, meatballs, sausages and peppers, ziti, salad, bread, and a variety of pastries and soft drinks. We always have a good response to this event since it is right after service (1:00 P.M.) and many are HUNGRY!

| | Last year we took over our annual dinner/auctuion, after expenses we made almost $8000 ---- we are a small church, about 125 members, but this event is well supported. If you are interested in taking on this type of fund-raiser-- feel free to email me at nancyhutchison@charter.net In Christ, Yancygirl |

| I bought small plastic cups (8 for a dollar at dollar store) and let the kids decorate them with sickers. We told the kids that every week that they bring the cups full of money to children's church they get to throw a water balloon at me or my husband at the end of service. You should have seen the kids collecting change from the congregation after service!!

| One year for VBS, we did a weight war for four Sundays or whatever time you set. Boys vs. Girls.(including adults). Everyone brings in their change and at the end which ever groups change weighs the most wins. You let them know up front what the reward will be (Pie the Pastor, We had one person agree to shave his head if the girls won, or come up with something everyone would get a kick out of seeing.) We raised a little over $200.00. The adults really get involved too (adults can be very competitive). We also did a spaghetti lunch after Sunday Service which raised about $300.00. We didn't have a set donation. Just whatever you felt God wanted you to give and all the food was donated, etc.

| | I instituted an ongoing fundrasier a little over a year ago & so far we have raised $483.15. We collect old cell phones & ink cartridges from people in the church & recycle them for money. Interestingly enough, the ink cartridges bring in the biggest income. There are lots of companies out there that will pay for this "trash," but we use Empty Solution -- www.emptysolution.com. Their buyback prices are good & we usually receive a check about a month after we send them a shipment. I've been very happy with the company. It's a slow process, but requires very little work -- I just set out drop boxes to collect the old phones & empty cartridges & then mail them in using a prepaid UPS label provided by Empty Solution.
