| Hi everyone, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate reading the different responses to questions asked. Thank you for participating and thanks to Group for setting up this forum for us. My question is: Does anyone have experience with building a large tree in a lobby area? We want to make our south lobby into a welcome center for children. We have in mind to have this large tree about 30feet in which we would house a puppet stage and a Shute etc. We also would like to have a place where parents can observe what is going on in the children’s ministries through video and a play area for the children. Thanks for your help? Nancy

| When I was in college, I volunteered at a church in Kentucky called the First Church of Christ (in Burlington, KY) that had a big tree like that in their lobby. You could do puppet shows and watch videos and do all kinds of cool stuff from the inside of the tree to show kids as they walked in. I’m not sure who created the whole thing, but someone at the church may be able to direct you to the right place. The name of the Children’s Pastor there is Guy Jones. www.1stchurchofchrist.org Good luck!

| Hi Nancy and Gang, In researching for our new building I found a few places that would build this type of item: I have others at the church in a file I'll try to send those to you tomorrow- I would check out Daniels Woodland's first as it had "Big Tree" as part of their information when I goggled "Themed Environment" Nancy pass on any other leads that you get as we have not started inviewing companies to create our 'Theme Space' Blessings, Cari Vega

| | We made one for our nursery. Email me and i will tell you what we did. We used concrete pouring tubes, chicken wire, burlap and about 10,000 pneumatic staples. Coated the entire thing with a coating to make it hard. |
