Hello Everyone,

I was reading posts from a mom's group forum, that I am apart of and one lady mentioned that there was a place in Tallahassee, FL called Mad Science.  So, I went to the site and they do birthday parties, workshops and have a kid zone.  I looked under locations and they have these places throughout USA and Canada, so go to the site and see if there is one close to you.  I don't know what the place is like and am waiting for my confirmation email for my son before I get to check out the kid zone, but it looks neat.  Just thought I would share in case anyone is interested.  If you have been to one of these places, please post what you think.

Blessings,

Lisa in FL

This is a group that will come to your location for parties, etc., and do a mad science presentation.  They do this in schools, afterschool programs, etc.  They do not (at least in our area) have a place where you can go to attend a class or anythig like that.

Thanks for the info, I haven't checked out the location, but the mom was actually talking about us meeting at another Tallahassee location and she referenced "Mad Science" as the landmark (i.e. such and such is across the street from Mad Science).

I do know from the site they do birthday parties and other events.  Here is an excerpt from the web site (Tallahassee anyway) about some of their events.  We use to do a "end of VBS" party at a different location from VBS, so the kids could have fun and get psyched about next year.  I was just thinking if you held a party and had them come to your church, this would be a good end of VBS or kickoff party.  I don't know prices, but our budget is nonexsistent this year, so we can't, but just thought I would throw it out there.

Mad Science Special Events are spectacular science-themed shows designed to amaze and entertain young audiences of any size. Children can conjure foggy dry ice storms, float on a Mad Science hovercraft, watch a foam factory at work, create super bouncy balls, make magic mud, alter sound waves, and so much more! Mad Science Events are ideal for school assemblies, corporate events and community centers, and can be customized to suit any group size, budget or time frame. From scouting banquets to libraries and corporate picnics, Mad Science is a unique way to entertain an audience!

Hello All,

We also have Mad Science here and have hired them to do a 45 minute presentation in the sanctuary on the final day. We have also hired them to have 5 booths at our outdoor carnival immediately after their presentation. We are so excited to have them come and do some cool experiments for the kids. They had a booth at my daughter's science fair and held the students' attention well. They also dress the part!

Any info is appreciated!
