She has confided in my assistant youth leader that she has recently started to self-mutilate.  I can understand the situation bc I am a recovering self-mutilator, therefore the leader came to me.  She is such a sweet girl with alot of pain and needs prayer.  Not only does she need prayer, but I do as well.  I do not want to break her trust in the asst. leader so I am going to do a lesson on the topic as well as other topics teens face today.  So please pray that God uses me to reach her and help her.  And pray that she can find peace in God and not in the pain she is inflicting.

Praying for you both. Praying that God gives you the words to say and that God helpd this young lady hear your words. I think because you have experienced this you will be able to reach out to her in a way no one else can. God be with you.

Oh, Misty, I am amazed at how God uses our painful experiences to help others! I pray that the Lord softens the heart and opens the mind of the teen you are helping. And I pray that the painful experiences that you will be revisiting are ones that are now giving you great strength as you have been strengthened in Christ.

May the peace and love of the Lord be with you both.
In Christ's Name I do pray.

The parents or guardian of this child need to be notified immediately.  Her trust is not as important as her safety.

Please don't hesitate, and call someone now.
