I cannot remember which year it was, but wasn't there a cupcake snack that we used blue colored coolwhip for the icing and put graham cracker bears or gummy bears on it for Peter walking on water? I am just not remembering for sure and thought that might make a good alternative for day 3.  I thought maybe even putting a gummy lifesaver on there too.  Am I remembering this right and if so what year was that?  Thanks in advance!!!

Blessings,
Johnnie

How funny! I was talking about that same snack to my wife last night. I could be mistaken, but i think it was for S.C.U.B.A. This snack inspired me to consider yet another alternative, Jell-O water miracle!

Make small plastic cups of blue Jell-O. Give the kids an orange wedge or peach slice, toothpicks and gummy bears so they can put the "disciples" on the orange. Then another gummy "Jesus" would be on the water along with "Peter". The sail can be either a piece of paper or fruit roll up cut into triangles.

***This and other snack alternative on Dr. Blindstein's Laboratory. Click on the Dinner & Snacks Bubble.

Great minds think alike....even though I doubt my mind is as great as Dr. B's!

Thanks for the info, probably was S.C.U.B.A...I don't have those manuals anymore.  I really like the alternative you posted too though!  That is really good...now I'm remembering something made with jello sometime back too...lol.  After years and years of VBS....sometimes the details run together..lol.

Thanks again!!

Blessings,
Johnnie

Actually, the snack is from the Water Park "take the plunge" vbs. I was the snack station leader for that. it was in a vbs that was last year. I do like that jello and peach idea. i'll have to share that with my snack coordinator this year.
