I put a Matzo Cover together and.....  I understand how to put it together but when you use a sewing needle and make a simple stitch to hold the loose ends it does not look right.  Any help out there maybe I am doing it wrong.  Any suggestion on a different way of holding it together?

We used Stitch Witchery to finish ours in 2005.  It's a product you find in the notions section of Wal Mart of Jo-Ann.  It's on a roll and we used the kind that was about 1/2" wide.  It looks like white paper and it has fusible webbing on the back.  You put the webbing side down and iron it, then you peel off the paper and the webbing is on the back of your fabric.  Then you can place another piece of fabric on top of the webbing, iron again, and the 2 layers of fabric are stuck together.  You can follow the manufacturer's directions on the package.

Before VBS, we ironed 2 strips of Stitch Witchery to the back of the weaving cloths.  When the kids were done weaving, we pressed the ends of the weaving strips into the Stitch Witchery.  We had a volunteer in the weaving shop who was in charge of the iron and the kids never touched it.  Let me know if this doesn't make sense or you want/need more info.

We bought material from Wal-Mart and made this craft, but Elmer's glue worked good from gluing the ends down.  We used tape when weaving them, then when they were finished, just a dab of glue will hold it down.
