| | I would love to know more about the Silver Corrugated Wall covering. I didn't know they have it. How would you use it in the backdrop? I can't put anything on the walls and the ceiling is to high. It says the wall covering is in a roll. I am wondering if it could be glued to cardboard? We are building the shelves from 2x4's. Maybe it could be attached to the back of the shelves? Thanks for your help and ideas. Shay |

| | I just ordered some. If it's like other corrugated papers, you could attach it to almost anything. I have rolling metal coat racks that I'm going to add foam shelving to to get the look of lab racks and I'm going to connect the corrugated paper to the racks with tape. Should hold just fine since it doesn't have much weight. |

| | The VBS level is rising around here and I hope weather permitting to clean out the garage and start building this weekend. I keep a notebook here w/ the computer to jot down ideas that I like and make drawings of ideas... I seam to forget things from time to time. For our stage as of now on the rightside I'm planning a 48"x30"x72" a whimsical lab station. There is a rough drawing on my hometown page. On the left side maybe a computer/control station w/ flashing lights about the same size. Today in the shower (that's where I think the best) it came to me.... a delivery truck. Model T looking... I have some rough cut boards from a privacy fence (damage one from HomeDepot for $4) use these to build the bed of the truck. Power Lab logo on the side of the truck and those "donut spare tires" for the wheels... maybe a yellow flashing light on top... a barrel in the bed w/ fog machine escaping. This could a kodak photo spot.

| | Last year during Avalanche Ranch, we used DuPont Tyvek Housewrap which comes in 10-foot rolls. It is a thin piece of material that is fairly easy to work with. The only problem with using a large piece of it to paint a scene on is hanging it. We wrapped it around two long pieces of PVC pipe and then attached the pvc pipes to metal umbrella stands (type used for deck umbrellas). We had a length of pvc in the middle also. However, even then we had to tie-off the top of the PVC so the scene would be pulled tight. In the pic attached, you can see that by the end of the week, it was sagging somewhat. If you maybe used metal pipes instead of pvc, the metal would provide more support. We intended to use this over and over each year, however, we are planning to use the metallic wall covering on a constructed frame similar to the one in the Decorating Places video this year. I thought I would share the idea using Housewrap in case someone wanted to try it. barb

| | We have a large back wall some of which we leave blank to run PowerPoint but all around that we cut out huge gears from foam 1.5 - 3.5 in diameter. We will painted them with swirls and patterns in cool colors and then use blue pipe insulation to weave in between them. We have 15 gears and it takes up a LOT of space, will be VERY colorful and look fun! |

| | You can get large rolls (16" x 25') of silver "bubble wrap" type material at Menard's...it's sold as an insulating product...you could cut strips and hang them...I think they were about $20 per roll... |

| | We're not able to tape/tie anything to the walls/ceilings. I was thinking of stacking long tables, 3 high, to use as shelves. I've been collecting 2 ltr. bottles, juice bottles, and milk jugs that I think I will cut the tops off of and fill with colored water. I can tape black bulletin board paper to the back and maybe cover the tables in aluminum foil. We have a PVC frame that I've covered in the past with a backdrop but I can't think of a backdrop to draw for this year. |
