We are in the Clarkston area and having VBS August 4 - 8.  Anyone interested in sharing decorations, big items, that would be great.  I have ordered 1 big beaker, the big Fuzz cardboard prop, giant character posters, and 1 set of cardboard that looks like metal.

We want to decorate our sanctuary the way it is in the pictures in the books/video.  We have been gathering materials to make large "test" tubes, etc.   Send me an e-mail if you are interested and the dates of your VBS so we can see if we can swap "stuff"!

Hi Jen,

We are off of I-75 not far from Great Lakes Crossing (aren't mall's great for points of reference).  Or another reference point -- about 10 minutes from the Palace or 5 from Pine Knob (DTE Theatre).

I'm also in the Kalamazoo area! By "last week of June" do you mean the 23-27 or 30-4?

Do you know that the Kalamazoo Gazette puts out a VBS preview and lists them for free? Go to mlive and search for VBS to get the email address. I think the deadline is May 27th.

Hi, All,

Not very quiet on this end!  My church is in Riverview (That is downriver) But, I live in Taylor, 5 min. from Metro Airport!!!!and we would love to share anything Powerlab related.  We are having our VBS the last week in July.  Last year we got left over decorations from two churches....What a blessing.  We would love to hook up with someone, and work together to make it better!!!!  Latonya

It matters not how many breaths you take, rather the moments that take your breath away!

We are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and planning on VBS from July 14-17.  We will be making all the suggested decorations (have already purchased the DVD).  Is there anyone willing to partner with us?  We have used Group for about 8 years and love it!

Hi Brandy,

I could meet you this Sunday between 12:45 to 1:00. I'm teaching k-5 and will need to put stuff away before I could head your direction. I am not sure that we can coordinate with Riverview because we are also trying to coordinate with one of the churches we worked with last year and I think there is a date conflict.

I am meeting with my decorations leader this morning to walk through the building and create a design plan draft so I have a better idea of what we want to do/create. We could especially use large props as we have a lot of space to fill in both the sanctuary and hallways. If you had a list of stuff you are planning on making/using, that would be very helpful.

I can also share our ideas with you. Perhaps we could work together to create some of the larger pieces.

If you could e-mail me back directly rather than through the forum that would be great. It's quicker to read your e-mail and respond directly to you - sometimes my connection is slow. My e-mail is wendee1@wowway.com.

Looking forward to meeting you!

Blessings,

Wendee

This is my first post ever; usually I just read for ideas.  I am in Novi and our VBS will be July 21-25.  I am looking for churches in the area so that I could see their decorations.  I am having a hard time with this theme; the previous years' were easier for me!
