NIB - YEAR 2!  We're having our kick-off planning meeting for NIB 2008 in 2 weeks.  I'm wondering what news there is from group about supporting NIB this year.  NIB 2007 was my first "director" adventure and it was awesome - over 200 volunteers and nearly over 450 pilgrims came to Bethlehem.  We have our dates for 2008 to run 2 nights.  One of the biggest problems we had in 2007 was keeping track of everyone in terms of contact management.  I'm running Power Lab VBS (another first) and love the web toy box for participant and volunteer registration.  With the numbers we expect we need some help with that.  Can there be a web toybox for NIB?

What are people planning to do for the Nativity pieces and mosaic boxes this year?  I feel like we need to add something additional or a slightly different set for year 2.

We hope to change up some of the shops (we did some from the kit and some of our own for year 1).

Our biggest challenge is fundraising because we want to have it be a free event.

Thanks for any thoughts from Group or from others preparing for year 2.

Erin

Erin-- do you have the director's manual to the 2--7 night in bethlehem?  our church had a great time last year, but the director didn't keep the pages.  we'd like to do most of the same stations, but now we don't have directions/scripts for sandalmaking, the dye shop, and the bread shop!  if you are willing to share, i'll be forever grateful!
