| I am looking for fresh, new ideas for an offering contest. We have an offering contest every year at our VBS. In the past the competition is between the boys and the girls to see who can bring the most change. The changed is weighted every night and at the end of the week whichever group wins gets to see a pie in the of me, if the girls win or Nathan if the boys when. We want to do something differently this year. So please, if anyone has ideas on what we can do this year it would be great. Thanks in advance. God Bless.

| I think there was a discussion about SLIME in one of the other forum threads. We don't have any competition for offering amounts, so I didn't make a point of remembering where that discussion was - sorry.

| | I had mentioned we are going to Slime the leader of the group that brings the most. That way the kids aren't getting a physical reward. Besides, kids love the idea of the adults getting it! I plan on having a large poster with the leaders faces on it and a slime bubble and each day moving it accordingly up the ladder to the leader so the kids can see who is close to getting slimed on the last day.

| | We are going to get clear tubes one for each team and have the offering put in the tubes. The team that is closest to the top wins. Their team captain will present the other team captain with a pail of chocolate covered worms to eat ( gummy worms in crushed oreos and chocolate syrup). We have also used shaving cream where the winning team captain gets to style the other captains hair with shaving cream. Kids like it when it is messy. |

| | Since the kids are grouped into crews of 5, I've decided to have jars (or containers) equal to the number of crews set up in the entrance to Sonic Sing and Play. (I.e. - if I have 5 crews I will need 5 containers and so on) After sonic sing and play the crews go to thier designated stations and then I tally up the jars. The winners will be announced daily at Faith fusion finale. I just need to set aside 5 special prizes each day for the winning crew. It could be a promo item from Power Lab or a special edible treat. Hope this helps. |
