Pray for us as we set up our stage and rooms tonight. I'm feeling a little discouraged, some good families who live about 15 - 20 miles away have decided not to come, or limit their attendance due to the cost of gas. I'm preparing to help one family with some expenses, but I hope something changes and they can come! Now I'm wondering if my attendance overall will be affected. God knows who is coming and I don't worry about that... but I don't want discouragement to set in with my staff and volunteers. Pray for those families and pray for my workers.

oh I had 3 hours of sleep last night. Pray for me too :-D

Keeping you in my prayers. May you get volunteers out to help decorate and that many children will be able to attend.

We are between $4.50 and $5.00 a gallon for gas out here and my volunteers come from all over so I pray that I won't lose any if the prices don't go lower soon. The kids who come are usually right from in the neighborhoon so that should not be a problem.

God Bless

Kathy

I will pray for you.  I just finished setting up for tomorrow.  We started 2:30 p.m. and finished at 5:30 p.m   I had 40 people setting up and it was great!  I pray for that same provision. In Jesus' name!

Just an update. Thank you for your prayers (Jesus gives us the power to be thankful AHA!)!! We had a record number of kids and workers. We had an increase of 20% over last year's attendance! Thank you Lord for showing your power to a stupid doubting children's minister.

Oh and the 2 or 3 families who were struggling with gas... the children's ministry purchased them gift cards and sent them anonymously. Not trying to pay folks to come, I don't want em to know the source... just trying to help some families hurtin' right now.

It's a sad day in America when gas prices are too high and parents have to choose not to send their kids to VBS because of it.  I am thankful to live 3 miles from my Church.  Otherwise all of the trips down there for VBS stuff would have killed me.  I'm glad ya'll where able to help those in need.  That is awesome!

Hope you've gotten some rest Chris.  That week leading up to VBS can be a killer!

I'm glad that everything worked out for you.

I hope your Power Lab VBS was a blast and a wonderful success.
