| | My reactor pen doesn't seem to "react" very well. i'm glad i tested it. -first, it is very easy to read what is written on the paper (you can see the wet ink on the color) -secondly, the ink only 'lit up' a bit, but not all of the writing worked. in fact, only a few pieces of a few letters worked. i went over my letters again, and it seemed to help a bit. are we supposed to add water to the pens? i read the lessons, but there is nothing mentioned about prepping the marker. by the way, you can cut the reactor sheets in half and get more use out of them. thanks |

| Good tips thanks. I have the kit here myself but I have not checked it out at all. I guess I need to check out the pens. Is anyone else having that same problem with them?? Is group going to replace them for you?? If not where do you find such a item? I am a little worried now after reading some other things as well.

| I'm not sure I'm the best person to be replying to this post, as I don't have the Cinema Science Kit (and it doesn't look like I'll be getting it, since it is currently out of stock), but it sounds like you are using the Invisa-Pen with the reactor paper (or maybe just regular paper??). Have you tried just writing on the back of your hand first and then looking at it under the blacklight? I have read the Cinema Science lesson for that day (day 2) and that is the way they suggested to do it. I would think you wouldn't have to worry about it looking to wet that way, since it's not on paper that will get soggy. It may still be hard to read under the blacklight though?? Like I said, I don't even have the Kit, I just thought I would try to offer that suggestion. Hope it helps.

| | I'm doing the paper tomorrow and I didn't see anything about using the pens on them. It says to use windex thten lemon juice. I think Cindy is right about how to use the items in the kit. Hope we're helpful. |

| | I agree with the last couple of posts. The Invisi-pens are for writing on the back of your hands, not on the reactor paper. They are for two separate activities. Try it on the hands - it should work much better that way. |
