| | wE HAD A BREAK INA YEAR OR SO BACK AND SO THE TRUSTEES INSTALLED A NEW ALOARM SYSTEM ONTHE DOORS AND WINDOWS THAT GOES RIGHT TOTHE POLICE DEPARTMENT. WELL I DIDN'T THI NK TO ASK ABOUT OTHER ALARM ITEMS AS I DON'T GET INVOLVED IN THAT AREA. NOW, I FOUNDOUT WWE HAVE A MOTINON DECTECTOR IN THE NARTHEX AND FOYER GATHERING HALL AREA. THE HULA HOOPS AND DANGLING BALLOONS AND DECOR ARE BOU ND TO SET THEM OFF. I HAVE TO EITHER TAKE THEM DOWN EACH NIGHT OR SHUT OFF THAT PART OF THE ALARM SYSTEM...I JUST THOUGHT I'S MENTION THIS AS OTHER CHURCHES MUST HAVE THEM.. IF THEY ARE STATIONARY NO PROBLEM, BUT THE THINGNS THAT THE AIR COND. SYSTEM WILL BLOW AROUND COULD SET OFF YOUR ALARMS. CRAFTY BONNIE |

| We have had similar problems before, but not VBS-related. Late one night, the air conditioner turned on and somehow closed the library door. Someone was called to meet the police at the church in the middle of the night. Ever since, we have been careful to leave that door closed. haha. I think that you could tape a piece of paper over the sensor if you expect it to be a problem.

Check out VBS Groupies for resources to help with the planning of your VBS. |

| Don't feel bad guys! We had just got an alarm (We got robbed 2 times within 2 weeks!) and we were getting our carpet cleaned in the kitchen. When we moved the table out, my dad walked through the kitchen and banged his head on the light fixture that goes over the table! So I made some red sreamers and hung them from the light fixture! We had fans on to dry the carpet and it blew the streamers around and set the Motion Sensor off!!!!!! AND.....it was Holloween! HOW CREEPY!!!!!
