I was wondering if anyone had completed Day 4 with the imitation vanilla extract?

Do you really need half a CUP of vanilla?

Do you need this much only once for the whole day... or do you need this much for each rotatio

Thanks for your help!

I only had 60 kids. I had less than a tablespoon of imitation vanilla left in my jar, so I mixed it with about a half a cup of water and it still worked fine. We just used a little dab on a paper-towel to apply it to their hands and we did not warm it (just left it at room temperature). The kids enjoyed the smell. My neighbor's kids were still commenting that they could still smell it, in the car, when I was giving them a ride home.

Imitation works fine.  My youth helper used about a half bottle.

Use imitation vanilla--I found an 8 oz bottle at Dollar Tree.  You only need to make one batch and it lasts all day.  I'd think you could keep the ratio the same to make a smaller quantity.  8 oz in a regular crock pot (4 qts?) was more than enough for 180 kids plus 40 volunteers.
