| | I have meant to post this for awhile, but have been concentrating on cleaning out my office of all the leftover supplies and decorations! We ended up having 160 children and 144 youth/adult helpers for the week! Yes, we always try to outnumber them if possible and this year we came close...lol! **Added one more slideshow**

| | Very cool! We we're thinking about sliming the station leaders on the last day of our VBS. What did you use for your slime? -Leah |

| Thanks for posting the pictures...and especially for the pic of the balloons hanging from the hallway ceiling...I just was remembering that I need to jump on our alternative to the Mega Beaker...I was planning on sewing large mesh duffle bags together to form a long tunnel for the balloons and hang it accross the sanctuary. What did use use to hold your balloons?...looks like clear plastic tablecloths. Please fill me in.

| hey- i read your post about the slime--
we are slimming someone also
i found several ways to make it-- 1 was green jello and oatmeal-- they say you don't want to use food coloring because i will turn you green for a couple of days--
i had a website you could go too. i will try to find it-- or go to a search engine and search green slime recipes -- i found a whole site of recipes for green slime-

| Thank you all for your good words I have had a few folks email me about the balloons and the slime. I thought I would repost that information here in case it is useful for anyone else!Slime: I mixed vanilla pudding mix with milk (made with dry milk)...about (doublechecking amount) per large box of pudding, green food coloring, one bottle of Karo per 4 large boxes of pudding, a large jar of applesauce per 8 boxes of pudding, and about a half of a small tube container of instant oatmeal per 8 boxes of pudding. We started with just pudding and karo and it just wasn't thick enough, so we just started adding whatever we could find in the church food pantry! It ended up being a great consistency but very, very sticky...as one of the folks getting slimed, I regretted the karo...but it did make the pouring look great We had NO problem at all with the food coloring discoloring any of our bodies or clothes. Balloon tubes: I bought a piece of the smaller mil (thickness) plastic painters drop cloth then cut it in half. We then did this with each of the two pieces: fold in half lengthwise and tie in a knot at one end and fold over twice (about 1/2 inch each) and staple up the side, fill with balloons blown up with an air compressor, then tie the other end off. We have ceiling tiles, so we just tucked the ties in under the ceiling tiles and zig-zagged across the ceiling of the hallway. We actually used two different pieces (packages) of the drop cloth which made four 'snakes' of balloons that were used consecutively. I want to give credit to my decorator diva, Jenny D., who came up with this most excellent idea I have been so blessed to have this woman on my ministry team.
