| | Ok, I am stressing just a little, VBS is Monday. I totally forgot about the bags. I have some, but I can't find info on them. When do the crews get them, and what goes in them? This is my 1st year, so forgive the silly questions, but I know that you all can help. Blessings Mandy

| I think you are asking about crew bags. I have a schedule for the week. I put the work books in the bag and either pens (older) crayons for the younger ones. For pre school I have some coloring pages to fill time if needed. Each bag is marked with the crew name or number. That is the basic stuff.
Hope this helps
Kathy

| I asked my leaders to create their own this year, along with their crew sign. They all seemed to want to take that one, so I let them. I include extra pencils, crayon pages, band-aids, disinfecting hand wipes and their crew leader guides.

| | Hi Mandy Over the years we have added more and more items - basically anything and everything that the crew leaders will need. This is their survival kit - if fully stocked it saves them a lot of running around - and ultimately you too! But . . . all items are certainly not all necessary to start with. The basics: (at least for us) a sharpie permanent marker, sharpened pencils, brown lunch bags for taking home their stuff each day, nametags, daily schedules, daily challenge wristbands, a daily take home sheet - we don't use the books they are too expensive for the number of kids we have. And most importantly a list of the kids in their crew with medical info and who is allowed to pick them up. The extras: (they have become necessities for us - our crew leaders are spoiled - in a good way!) Pocket size packs of kleenex, a snack size ziplock bag with band-aids and a sandwich size ziplock bag filled with baby wipes. After each day, I or someone else go through their bags and remove the old schedule, extra wristbands, take home sheets etc and add additional lunch bags and the next day's schedule, wristbands, take home sheets etc. Also an updated crew member listing. This seems to be the method that works best for us - but certainly not the only way! Hope this helps - we'll be praying for you! Lori |
