Our VBS is 6:30 to 8:30 pm and there seems way too much stuff for two hours - do the stations really only need 20 minutes?

Any suggestions on how to condense the schedule to fit two hours?  I'm thinking about leaving out making the snacks

Suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks, Raine in VA

The perfect timing is about 3 hours, but it's not easy to fit in at night.  Ours is 6:15 - 8:30, and we're combining some things.  Cinema Science has treats at the end, and our games and crafts are mix and match.  I think making the snacks is really neat, and the kids do feel good about serving, but when something has to go, it's that one.  Here's our schedule: Bible Blast ~ Cinema Science & treats ~ Games & Crafts

We're determined to end on time for each rotation, and the cl should get 25 minutes each.

6:15-6:40 Sonic Sing & Play

6:40-7:10 1st rotation

7:10-7:40 2nd rotation

7:40-8:10 3rd rotation

8:10-8:30 Drama Spotlight and Finale

I have done it with each element as Group write it, and it works great, but it's impossible to have enough time with our facility this year.  We're outside, and we have to finish and clear out by dark.  I've done 6:00 - 8:45, and squeeze the treats time and it worked fine.

Good Luck!  Happy VBS-ing!

Our VBS is from 5:30 - 8:00 with dinner from 5:00 to 5:25. We are cutting out the Snack Station and using the snack suggestions as our desserts. In the past we have cut out the Games Station as well but we have brought it back this year because it looks like so much fun. We run the stations 20 minutes and haven't had any issues.

Good Luck!
