| | We didn't order the "balloons" for the 5th's day finale, the ones that look like flames and then they are passed to the front. Does anyone have any ideas on something I could use in place of the balloons? |

| I felt the balloons would get the kids too hyper. We had more boys than girls this year. So I did two experiment. Dena from NY posted an egg experiment(other stations) and we usedit and it worked great. Then I wanted something bubbling so used baking powder and vineger. Then we formed a circle and each person got the small glow sticks (Michaels 15 for a dollar) and we started at one end of the circle and one by one they lite the stick. Then they waved them in the air as we sang Get up Get Up. Then at the end of the song I said what did Jesus say: Go out into the world and tell others. Give your stick to your mom or dad etc and tell them Jesus loves them. Very moving.
Hope this helps

| Couldn't get the Tubealoons either. Here's something that just came to me...maybe we will do it...buy orange and yellow streamers and have a streamer race....from the back to the front with the kids passing the streamer rolls unraveling them over their heads.

| Kathy, love your glow stick idea. Katrina, I may use the balloons if we can't get glowsticks. Great creativity, you guys! This website is invaluable.

| Kathy, we did almost the same thing. I bought the glow crosses from Dollar Tree (4 in a pack). We tied Glow in the dark lace unto them and then gave them out to each child. We told them to hold the cross until we gave them further instructions. We then turned of the lights and I shared how each one of us can use the power to tell others about God (Ah-Ha!) to light up the world for Jesus. I told each crew to crack the cross, shake it and hold it up high one by one. As they did that I continued telling them that we could fulfill the Great Commission by telling everyone we meet about Jesus' miraculous power. It was simply awesome as all the crosses started to light up and fill the church. I still think about it and get emotional.

Sounds very moving. I don't think I ever saw the crosses at dollar tree.
