| | I'm not quite sure if this is the right spot for this, but here goes. We have started something new this year at VBS. In addition to the cl (we divide by grades), station, etc. we have recruited volunteers to pray. We have a prayer assigned to each class, each station, and each extra area (we have a birthday card area and a welcome station as well as those listed in PL). I was wondering if anyone else out there does this and if so if you have prayer prompt ideas for the prayers? thanks! Kathie |

| | Love the birthday card station! What a great way to get names and addresses so that you can send birthday cards to kids who may not go to your church. I know we have all that info on our master list, but the idea of a cool decorated table to make kids feel special and let them know that they have something to watch for in the mail really appeals to me. Lots of ideas floating in my head for music, set-up, props, dress-up for the volunteers, etc. That could also be THEIR ministry. Just making sure those cards get sent out with a personal note. Could also even take a quick photo of each child as they sign up for future reference. Get double prints and send one in the card. Hugs to all....I LOVE this board and this theme! | | Another publisher tells the VBS Director to recruit a Prayer Team in their Director's Guide. I think that a Prayer Team is a great idea! At first I would give them things to pray about for the planning of your VBS, then ask them to pray for the amount of kids that you would want to come, supplies, and anything else that comes up. During the week of VBS, have them pray for the kids to have fun and grow deeper in their walk with the Lord or to be able to start a personal relationship with Him that week. I've never thought of a Birthday Card table/station before. God Bless, Josh T. in Ohio
