| We just finished out Jerusalem Marketplace VBS. It ran Sunday through Thursday evenings, and then we turned our Saturday morning worship service into a follow-up "special program" that we invited all the kids & parents to. For the first time we actually had some parents who showed up for our church service! Now I am exhausted, my kids are way overtired from getting to bed 2 hours late every evening, and there is still so much cleanup to do. But we had an awesome group of volunteers, a great turnout of kids both from our church and the community, and such a blessing for all of us.
If you would like to see pictures, check out www.RiversideVBS.com. We have our Gathering Time in our sanctuary, Tribe Time just outside the church building, and the Marketplace, Synagogue School & Playground in the field nearby. Our looming challenge this year was a storage building that had been scheduled to be torn down in time for VBS to start. There was asbestos found in the roofing, and suddenly all demolition had to stop. So they put up a fence around the mess, and my husband designed a 12' "gate" and covered the fence with sheets dyed to try to look like a wall. It actually turned out really cool.

| | What a wonderful VBS!! I love the donkey!! Where did you get this, or did you make this? Our church is located in Vancouver, WA., but we had to postpone due to our church's remodeling situation, so we're hoping to do this during Spring Break next year. I love your layouts and it looks like everyone had a wonderful time! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

| The donkey was borrowed, along with a couple of sheep and a camel. We are thankful to be able to borrow them!
Ritsychic, what church do you attend? It would be great to network with more churches in the area who do Holyland VBS's! If you are interested, please e-mail me at screitz@mac.com.
