| | We're using the five Sunday pastor's resource kit from Group and I wanted to share a pic of last Sunday:
And to say that we are using a clip this week from "The Secret Garden" (Warner Brothers 1994) where the boy is blindfolded and finds his Father and touches his face. It is towards the end of the film and a beautiful clip to show.

| | Peggy, that looks great! It's a party! The movie clip sounds like a good one, too. How did you connect it to the sermon? It sounds like it would fit the week's sermon well. |

| | Dh used it at the very end and sort of let it speak for itself. He set it up by sharing that he happened to turn on the TV in a hotel (I was doing a bookstore preview) and caught the last several minutes of the movie, which we own and he had seen many times. But it just spoke to him since he had just been preparing notes for this sermon! There is no dialog in the scene, which makes it especially moving. Just the son, blindfolded, struggling along and the father standing there in awe as the son touches his face. You can actually read Roger's sermon (which might be fun for you guys to see how things are translated! LOL) at our website: http://www.gbgm-umc.org/harrodcharge/Sermons/032007/03182007.htm Roger said there was enough material in that section of the book for at least three sermons! I know he's got notes for several more he can use some time.
