I love the Bible Buddies, and if you can afford them, go for it!! We have gotten them in the past and seem to always go over budget. So this year, we're going to make the little prayer journals in Chadder's room but it will also be a little buddies book. Instead of being given a buddy, they'll get the buddy sticker and the day's theme sticker off the sticker sheets (sold in 10 packs). We also print off the day's verse on mailing labels. So they have a total of 3 stickers for that day's page. The second page would be for a prayer request. Then the next day they do the same thing. So every other page is either a buddy page or a prayer request. These books will get left in the Theater room until the end of the week. We're going to make them like a previous post here suggested, with the brown lunch sacks, stick and rubber band. I thought that idea was wonderful!! I think I'm going to take the church paper cutter to the bags ahead of time so the kids just have to fold and punch the holes. I'll cut off the bottoms with one slice and then just skim a tiny bit down each side lengthwise before while it is still folded flat. Then the sides can just be tossed and the larger pieces are left to make the little books with.
