For those of you who watch what Oriental Trading has to offer, I noticed that they are starting to sell some "Wild West" items.  It will be interesting to see what they look like once the pictures are posted.

Just an fyi- For those of you considering ordering the WESTERN CACTUS FOAM FRAME, I ordered them for my daughter's bday party back in February. The faux suede lacing on all but two (of 24 total) was too short to go all the way around the frame, plus several of the frames came without the holes punched in the frame. I didn't check the packages prior to the party- I just ran out of time- so the girls were a little disappointed with lace not going all the way around PLUS, it took FOREVER to lace them- it didn't take long before they were bored and frustrated.... The four adults were working as quick as they could to lace, lace, lace!

Just thought you might want to know!

Thank you for the feedback.  We tried to substitute several crafts with OTC a few years ago.  We have found that we just need to be really careful because sometimes the savings in expense isn't always worth the increased frustration caused by the kids having trouble putting them together.  It is always a good idea to try a sample of the craft before the actual time it is needed.  It is also good because then you have a finished example to show the children.

Please, please try to keep in mind that crafts too should tie in with the Bible point. As Peggy pointed out once, "repetition is part of what makes the message "stick"..."  http://webboards.grouppublishing.com/ar/default.asp?action=9&read=21663&fid=250&BoardID=33#103120

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

PJ...I was wondering if you though the crafts should tie into the lesson?
