We have been considering changing Chadders room's theme from "Wild West Theatre" to "Mountaintop Movies." Since the lights will be out most of the time (We use a projector) it seems like this would bemore efective in the dark than a western scene. We have the kids in stadium seating (we use this room for Wednesday Night Rotation's Movie Room) So I was thinking about in the stage area of the room building large rock formations piled with snow. We could light the room with a faint blue light so that it would always be slightly visible. And with some light, t would be easier to take pictures of the kids. I have been shopping for cheap fake snow. I found one website that had 3 pounds of plastic snow for $10.

I had a "Narnia" party and bought batting (the cheapest I could find on a big roll) by the yard at Joann's and used a 50% discount coupon (found almost every week in the Sunday paper) to cover the room with "snow". This might be another cheap way to go for snow.

I like the mountain top Idea. Not sure how it will work in my limited space, but I will be thinking on it.

I really like this whole idea!    (Of course, I would LOVE to decorate something in a winter theme!) Ugh- won't work in my room, though.  Great idea also with the batting, Mindy!

I am tempted to do the whole VBS in a ranch mountaintop/winter theme- so I can't wait to see how your room turns out!

Mmm, this screen tastes good!

Think the pastor would mind if we set the air conditioning to 60 in that room to go with the snowcap theme?  After all, it's for the kids!!!  Gee, that would be one room I wouldn't have trouble finding volunteers for!
