When I was in Dollar Tree this week I saw small solid wood birdhouses near the front of the store with their summer decorations.  They were unpainted and came with a rope hanger attached to it.  They averaged around 4 1/2 inches tall.  I didn't know if anyone was looking for a birdhouse that was sturdier and that you wouldn't have to glue together.
