LOL, you are too kind for my crude little drawings.     Cow has extra sugar for you!

(heheh every time I see the "smooth" smiley I have to laugh, now!)

Mmm, this screen tastes good!

I went back and looked at the instructions for the journal on PJ's site. It does talk about the flaps being used for hidden journaling. Anyhow, I put one together using brass fasteners (all I could find quickly) and showed it to my 10 yr daughter. She thinks it's great and says she can't wait to decorate it! Guess this craft is a keeper!

Here is a site that has lots of different "scrapbooks". It has the instructions for the paper bag ones too and I believe when I was looking through them the other day seems like there was something similar to the one pictured above...but I'm not sure....

Here is a short video showing how to use them

Here are some on e-bay

Yes, that is what I meant.  They look really cute and are so easy and cheap (always a good thing) I think I might buy rolls of brown packaging paper, cut rectangles then fold them.  Then use the stick.  This will give it a very western feel.  Students could even use the Buddies stamps to decorate them.

(Thank you for the illustration.  I wasn't sure how to do one)

Sherri, thank you for that illustration. Now youknow i amgoing to add that to my website!

Carrie, in another post regarding the same topic I mentioned that you can get brown packaging paper at most $1 stores. I have a roll here, and depending on the size of the journal you cna easily get 10-15 of them.

Really?  I am honored to be a part of it!

Although I'm not great at it- anytime you all need an illustration, I'd be happy to give it a go.

Mmm, this screen tastes good!
