| | On Day 4 we are doing the alternative craft--the Skye Catcher. We decided that instead of using masking tape, we will pre-cut strips of adhesive foam sheets. And the colors will represent the salvation message: Black (sin separates us from God-John 3,) Red (Jesus shed His blood on the cross to pay for our sins-Romans 5:8,) White (we are cleansed and forgiven when we accept Jesus as Lord-Acts 3,) Blue (When we confess our faith at baptism, we tell what Jesus did for us-Romans 10:9-11,) Green (believers grow spiritually by praying, reading the Bible, and sharing Jesus with others--2 Peter 3:18,) Yellow (Heaven's color, our home and final reward.) We also give out a little postcard with what the colors represent on it for all the kids to take home. |

| | You know, you can get electrical tape in those colors. Would be easier than cutting the adhesive foam and probably comparable cost. |

| | Well, I thought the kids would have a hard time cutting the electrical tape during crafts. This way the strips are ready to go--just peel and stick. |

| | What is the Skye Catcher? We didn't order the crafts book, so I'm a little lost. Everything we wanted to order from OTC is out of stock!!! I'm thinking we may have to come up with alternatives. |

| | The Skye Catcher is one of the cute alternative crafts that Group suggested. If you go the the main webpage of Avalanche Ranch and check the side panel-maybe under freebies?- Group lists their alternative crafts. This is new this year. Usually they were listed in the craft leader manual. Hope this helps! |
