| Unfortunately, I am absolutely NO help on the princess party since I have two boys. But I am so glad to hear that your wife was home and even feeling well enough to think about going to church. That is wonderful and we are praising right along with you.

| | PJ, My daughter had a princess party a few years back. We set up a separate area for a tea party with a garden theme. We also set up a runway area and lots of princess costumes, gloves, feather boas, tiaras, etc for the girls to try on and then did a princess fashion show down the runway complete with pictures. Wish I could remember what else we did, but maybe that will help.

| | Thank you Loretta. Mari went to church today and they were all so happy and blessed to see her. She even helped with the nursery. Praise the Lord she is doing much better. She will have to be home for a while until the doctor says its OK for her to return to work. Thank you for the tea party links and ideas. I love the FASHION SHOW! I am definitely doing that one. Does the runway have to be red? I am planning to decorate a tent to look like a castle. Will use purple and gold gossamer from Shindigz.

| | PJ, I have been away from my computer for any good length of time, so this is the earliest I have heard your good news. "Praise God from whom all blessings flow." I am so happy to hear that Maribel is doing much better. You are right, prayer is a very powerful thing. I will continue to keep you and your family in mine. Now, here are a couple of fun Princess Tea Party ideas for you that I have actually used in the past. I had all the guests come dressed up like a person from a castle (this included boys and girls). Of course we had a lot of princess and queens, but we also had a knight, a dragon, a wizard, a paige, and even a unicorn. I found out a head of time from parents who their child was dressing as (not Cinderella, SnowWhite type thing, but just a princess, knight, king, etc). Then I made up their "royal" name. For example a little girl named Claire Smith who was coming as a Princess was "Princess Claire from the Castle Smith" After everyone arrived at the party, I used a "trumpet" (made from a wrapping paper tube covered in gold paper with gold poster board cone glued to one end and a gold cord attached from one end of the tube to the other) to "blow" (doot doot doo doo), and announced each guest by their royal name at the party. We played "Princess Princess Where's Your Shoe?" It is like doggy doggy, where's your bone, but instead you hide one of those clear plastic shoes that you can find in the wedding favor section of the party store. I've also seen them at AC Moore or Michaels. We also played lily pad hop. I cut out four 12" lily pads out of green posterboard. Divide the children into two teams. Each team has two lily pads. This is a relay race. Each member on the team must go up and back to/from a designated spot, but they must only step on the lily pads. Therefore, they must put one in front of them stand on it, take the second one place it in front, stand on it, grab the one behind them, put it in front of them, stand on it, etc, until they go up and back to the next person on the team. I had also made a maypole and we did a maypole dance with colorful ribbons all around it. It was crazy fun. Anyway, just a few ideas in case your looking. Happy Birthday to Joanna!

| | Glad to hear Mari is feeling better! My daughter had a Princess Party a year or 2 ago. We played Crown the Princess (Pin the tail on the donkey) used a poster with princesses on it and made numbered crowns. OR.... You could make a "Wanted" poster of your Princess and they could "crown" her instead. Another game was Pass the Slipper (Hot Potato) using a new sandal. I think they also made their own crowns. Instead of musical chairs we played musical thrones. Hope this helps. Jewell |

| | PJ, I have been a little MIA on the board lately...many things going on personally and I am sorry that I missed the opportunity to pray for your situation. Know, I am praying now that the Lord would continue to keep your wife in good health. Have fun with the party! I don't have many suggestions, my daughter is six but she's more the animal lover type and not so much into princesses. Keep us posted
