| | My daughter had a "castle-themed" party when she turned 6--she's getting ready to turn 16!!!! At the website for Family Fun magazine (familyfun.com), you can search for all kinds of party ideas that are cheap. I used a pattern to make a castle cake using ice cream cones (without the ice cream, of course!), fruit striped gum, and other candy. We were just looking at those pictures the other day--it was a cute cake! We got plastic goblets from Party City and glued fake gems on them for the kids to use, had crowns for everyone, and got some cheap pink lamme and make a cape for the birthday girl! It was fun and not too expensive since we used a lot of ideas from Family Fun. Hope you'll look back at your pictures in 10 years and have good memories, too! |

| While I find all the information on tea parties, etc., to be very good, I think that it is misplaced in the Prayers area. Why not move this part of the thread to Off Topic.

| | PJ, I am just now reading about your wife and her illness, but I am glad to see she is now home and recovering. I will continue to pray for her recovery and that God Bless you and your family in every way. You have been such help to all of us on the forum and your continued prayers for us have always been a blessing. I know God will continue to heal Mari and help you both in your time of need. Our prayers will continue for you and your family. Donna in KY.

| Thank you all again. Your prayers have certainly made a difference. Mari has recuperated very well. She was advised by her doctor to take another couple of weeks off, but because we are in a very tight financial situation she wants to go back to work next week. I told her that we can manage with the Lord's help and that she should take the time off, but she insists in going back. As long as she leaves all stress out of it and do whatever she can I think she will be OK. Please pray that she takes it easy and find a job closer to home. She actually works about 28 miles away and the commute can get very hectic in the AM and PM. God bless you all for your encouragement and support.

| PJ, I'm so glad that your wife is doing better. I lift your request of a better job situation for your wife to the Lord and on my knees ask Him for financial favors to come your way to allow your wife the time needed for a full recovery.
