I have assigned crews. Took me some time to figure it out lol. You have to make your staff list first. Then you create your crews. Once that is done as people register you can assign them to their crew. You click under create crews, then click add participants.

I have had pretty good luck with it... the only problem I have run across is not having my Youth crew participants show up on my list of participants to add. They are there in my participant list but not on the add participants to crew page.

I played around with some fake names to try it out and you had to actually have staff entered as crew leaders AND you had to go in and approve them before you could it.

Thanks for the tip - did not see that in the instructions anywhere.

I made the crews but did not assign leaders. I will try to add my leaders and then see how it works. I am really not using the staff part of the web site just the kids but may have to now.

Thanks.

  • First Name is required
  • Last Name is required
  • State/Province is required
  • Address is required
  • City is required
  • Zip Code is required
  • Role is required
  • Home Phone is required
  • But nothing says the data has to be valid.   You could just put a letter in the address field for example.

We are at the point in the web toybox where we are trying to assign crews.  Ws had no problem getting the crew names posted and all that, but when you have it auto-assign participants we run into trouble. It says that it will automatically assign 5 kids of mixed ages to crews, but we have some crews with 8 first graders, some crews with 2 kids of different ages, some crews with 1 child and some crews with no children assigned at all.  Is this feature not working?  Has anyone else tried auto-assign?  We could always go back to the old way of manually assigning crew members but thought this was a nice feature.

I had the same problem, so I'm just assigning them manually.  There must be some kind of glitch in the system.

I just added my personal info to each of the crews. That was the only way to make the groups. I use alot of Jr. workers for my crews and don't know sometimes til the day before or even the morning of who is going to be able to show up. I really need it so that I can appoint the students to a crew and then place my jr workers where they are needed.
