With all the creativity around here, I know someone must have some cool ideas for decorating the sanctuary for Pentecost Sunday. So far I'm thinking red steamers and/or silky scarves, or just some lengths of red/orangey fabric draped around, maybe with fans blowing them around a little. What have you all done?

I had the kids decorate the plain white plastic kites from OTC one year with a big decending dove outline, and then color in the background like statined glass in orange, red, and yellow.

How about wind chimes in a similar motif?

I finally got the pictures of how we ended up decorating the sanctuary. Hope you enjoy. I also wanted to show off the mural that was donated to us. The sky and touch-up finally got finished, and we are enjoying it a lot.

Love your "tongues" decorations. Simple and yet very inspirational. I will keep that idea for next year. Thanks.  The mural is awesome. What a blessing!

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!
