Hi ya'll (trying to get in the mood)

My husband was offered the job in Texas (Austin), making the same he makes here in California which goes a lot further there then here!  So, they want us to come out asap...mid June and our VBS is at the end of June.  This is a huge distraction for me...there is SO MUCH to do between now and this visit.  I'm thinking about recruiting a co-director.  Please pray for our VBS program and also for this possible move.  We'll be moving from my mom and brother...my kids are very close with them.  This will break my mother's heart.  I want to go where GOD wants us.  I asked Him to make it CLEAR and it seems that up to now He has.

Thank you for your prayers!

Hi Teri,
My prayers are with you and your family. God will lead you where He wants you to be and you will find peace.

Most of my family is in Calif but my son's family is in Colorado. It was hard at first but we got creative, its only two hours by plane and we each got a I chat camera and we hook up to chat. Its like being in the same room with my grandkids. I still miss the hugs.

Yes get someone who can help you with vbs. That way they are trained for next year.

God's blessings
Kathy

Kathy,

I guess it's true that there are ways to be creative in keepin in touch.  I chickened out and emailed my mom yesterday with the news.  I didn't want to hear her first reaction.  She said that since she'll be retiring soon and on a fixed income she probably won't be able to come out and visit that often.  Breaks my heart, it does.  The camera sounds like a neat way to stay in touch...I'll have to get more info on that...and get my mom off of dial up!  I'm thinking maybe we can "practice" here.

I feel like God is asking us how far we are willing to go to follow Him, and while I love the idea of going to Austin (I hear it's really nice) I am so sad about leaving my family.

Thanks for the feedback ya'll (more mood)

Thanks!  We booked our tickets to go visit Texas, meet the new employers, see a realtor, etc for the week of June 10th.  We'll be home on the 19th and VBS starts on the 25th.  It's going to be crazy.  I have a feeling it's going to be late in terms of finding a co-director but I really need one.  Thanks for your prayers!

Well...God is moving over here at our home!  We are moving to Texas!  I wish I could explain all the ways that God has worked on this move but it would take a lot of typing!

Please pray for our VBS which starts on Monday.  We made a contingent offer on a home in Texas so we need to hussle to get our home on the market (need to paint and get some stuff in storage) asap AND coordinate VBS at the same time.  Hubby is doing Bible Adventures this year again too!

I'm crazy busy but I know this is when the Lord is glorifed most...I cannot handle all this on my plate...but HE can!

Thanks for your prayers!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your prayers!  My mom is having a real hard time with it...she's been having a hard time sleeping, etc.  At least this is what my brother is telling me.  I'm praying for peace in her heart too...knowing we will find creative ways to be close dispite the miles between us.
