| | I doing Bethlehem Village in December and I'm out of ideas for what to do in the foyer of our church. We have a fairly large foyer, but after Mass it's filled with people and you would never see a small display. I saw the cardboard Census Taker but I can't find one to use, and I can't afford the shipping! So, I need an idea that gets people's attention, and doesn't cost much. Here's another question. Our VBS is put on for 2 churches at the same time. How do I get people to come to a VBS that's for their church but the actual VBS is at a different Church. I know of several people who won't even think about going to a different church, even for VBS! What should I do to get people to travel to a different church for a VBS that's for them?

| | Matt. For the Bethlehem Village Display, I would use the Tribe Banners and make the stands for them and create a display from that. Then have a bulletin board or poster on the wall behind it with the information for your Bethlehem Village. Another idea is create a nativity scene regularly or use the clipart from the Bethlehem Village website (http://groupvbs.com/2006/HolyLand/clip_art.asp) to create a nativity scene. As for having a VBS at another church, I would use a flyer and an announcement stating that your VBS will be at another church because the other church is helping make this VBS happen. I would add that we as Christian are one in the Body of Christ and it shouldn't matter what church we're at it's that we're all one with Christ. God Bless, Josh T. in Ohio

| | Here's what we did for a census takers booth. We used a card table, put pvc pipe over the legs (cut the length we wanted) to raise it in the air. We put a pvc frame around the bottom for stability. Covered the card table with fabric to the floor and hung the Census Taker sign. Put a table inside of this. I will post a picture. |

| | we would love to do Bethlehem Village in VBS for the summer of 08. If you have anything left over after you do yours would you be interested in selling what you have left? Just let me know and we can chat. Good look on yours. Ours was a couple of weeks ago and this being our first HLA it was unbelieveable, awesome, and great all at one time, we did GBTS. |
